At this stage no social programme has been arranged, but depending on the number of guests and their preferences, it may be possible to organize something at the time. Skipton, with its castle, is a short bus or train ride away. From there you can catch the Dales buses to visit such places as Grassington. Bolton Abbey is a short drive from Ilkley: it is the ruin of a medieval monastery set by a river with beautiful riverside walks. For the more energetic, the Dales are a walkers paradise. Alternatively there is always a trip into Leeds for shopping.
