EMHG Research Award 2012

Deadline extended until April 15th !!

The European Malignant Hyperthermia Group (EMHG) is pleased to announce this science award, which is endowed with

1,500,- Euro

with the intention to promote the scientific research in malignant hyperthermia (MH).

The award will be given to a scientist or a group of scientists for creative and outstanding contributions in the field of MH, including patient safety, diagnosis, basic research etc. The EMHG makes this award annually to recognize and encourage distinguished junior scientists.

Application guidelines:

A manuscript of outstanding quality addressing a relevant scientific question concerning MH will be awarded.

The manuscript must be prepared as abstract (introduction, material and methods, results, and discussion) with a maximum of two 1.5-spaced Din A4 pages (Times New Roman, 12), including 1 – 2 figures or tables, respectively.

One copy unblinded, listing all authors and their affiliation(s)

Four copies blinded.

The manuscript should not be published but may be submitted for publication or in press, respectively.

The Award is open for EMHG members; in case of non-membership submission must be supported (accompanying letter) by a member of the group.

Deadline: April, 1st, 2012 => New deadline, April 15th !

All submitted abstracts will be presented at the 2012 Annual Meeting of the EMHG, and thereafter the EMHG Award will be handed over.
