MH Internship Grant

The EMHG is pleased to announce a call for applications for this bursary scheme. The aim of the grant is to support education, training and cooperation between the EMHG and MH units worldwide. The grant will contribute to the costs of a professionally qualified person from an MH diagnostic unit (already established or in the process of establishing) participating in an on-site internship of a minimal length of two weeks in another MH unit (accredited).

The grant will provide a contribution to travel and staying costs (up to €500 or a maximum of €1000 for stays longer than four weeks).

After the internship, the recipient is requested to send proof of stay approved by visiting the MH unit and present how this internship was beneficial at the following EMHG Annual Meeting.

Application process

An applicant is responsible for prearranging the internship before sending the application.

Applications should take the form of a statement (up to 500 words) in English explaining the benefits that would arise if you could participate in the internship. In addition to any personal developments, it is expected that you will make a case for how you will use the experience to improve the care of potential MH patients/MH-related research in your country. Your statement should be accompanied by a short (1-page) curriculum vitae, a letter of support from your head of department/MH unit and a letter of acceptance from the head of visiting MH unit.

Applications should be sent to the Secretary of the EMHG by email (info@emhg.org) a minimum of six months before a planned internship. Applications will be considered by non-conflicted members of the EMHG Executive Committee on an individual basis.

The applicant should contact the secretary if they have not received an acknowledgement of receipt within one week of submitting their application.
